May? Already?

Hard to believe it's already May.

Seems like it was just January, right?



It was busy around here this weekend.
Lots of blue sky and sunny, but WINDY!
I've got to say I'm sick of the wind!

Got the spuds planted.
99 hills this year.

Yukon Gold and a Pontiac Red
are this years variety.

Now I just gotta hope we don't get attacked
by those rotten potato bugs again!

We haven't dragged the lawn mowers out of the shed
yet, so my portable mowers have been out daily
mowing and fertilizing for me.

They don't care for the dandelions though.
Which is a bummer, cuz those we have lots of.

Caden's got an old fishing pole out this weekend
and was practicing his cast off the pig house
roof (teasing the pig too, I'm sure) when the pig
grabbed the weighted line and gave a good jerk!

Down went Caden off the roof!
Fortunately not into the pen, but off to the side.

He got a few scrapes and bruises, but nothing major.
Maybe now he'll stay off that roof!


Krissy came over for dinner and a visit last night.

I've been having some printer problems so we
were both sitting in front of the computer
when she sticks her finger in my ear!

I'm like what?
She says you've got a hunk of dirt in your ear.

I delve into my ear and bring out a TICK!!

We both get the heebie geebies pretty good,
then get to laughing!

Now, that's a good friend for you.
One that is willing, with no prompting to
stick her finger in your ear and
not run away screaming when it's realized
what is IN your ear!

Love it when she comes over!
(and brings wine)
