Dilly Spicy Beans and my ramblings

I got 11 Quarts of my favorite beans done on Saturday.

It's the easiest, tastiest bean recipe.

Your brine: 5 c vinegar, 5 c water, 2 T sugar, 1/2 c salt

bring to boil add to hot jars that have had

1/2 t mustard seed, 1 dill head, 1/2 t crushed red pepper,

1 clove garlic and 1/2 fresh jalapeno added then stuffed

with your beans.

BWB for 15 min

Ran out of crushed red pepper for the last few jars so I
added more fresh jalapenos with the seeds to compensate.

The Hubby rigged me up a cooking station out behind the garage and it's been handy with the weather already so hot and humid.

Yesterday was spent cleaning house. The folks are for sure really on their way and should be here by Midnight or so.

A week from today I'll be a my new job.

I'm excited and dreading it both.

Colton has been gone since Saturday evening. He and some friends went to the Warped Tour over in the cities. Unless you like death metal/punk and other crazy hard rock you wouldn't know any of the bands that played. He and his band are having band practice when they get back. All this live music they've been listening to has got them all pumped to be "Rock Stars" too. I'll be glad to have him home tonight. I just can't get a good nights sleep when he is gone.

More rain again last night and today is very windy ~~ My clothes out on the line should dry real fast today.

The fungi funk my tomato's and peppers have is spreading. I don't know if they are worth the money to try fixing or if I should just spend the money on veggies from the farmers market.

Hmmm, decisions decisions..

A friend gave me some dilly beans once - those are the best ever! I would love to have several jars in the pantry. Did Kris make some too?

Hmmm....sometimes I think it's just as cheap and easy to go buy them.

I've never had beans like that. I might have to try it someday.

Sorry to hear about the fungi funk. We had something similar last summer and I hardly got any tomatoes. Gardening can be a gamble sometimes.

Glad your mom is finally coming to visit.

Those look good. I love beans but have never had spicy canned ones. Bet it was a hot day for canning.

Go to Klingers, I hear that they have good prices right now.
