Going cuckoo

It's true.
I am going cuckoo.
From this clock that my Hubby recently purchased.

It is beautiful.
It is an antique.
It is almost just like one that his grandparents had back in the day.
It brings back lots of happy memories for him.
It cuckoo's
and it cuckoo's
and it cuckoo's
and it freaking cuckoo's.

sigh

I can no longer nap in the living room.
tick tock tick tock tick tock
tick tock tick tock tick tock
cuckoo
tick tock tick tock

sigh

I can hear it in our bedroom at night when I'm trying to sleep.

No one else is apparently bothered by this constant racket, just me.

I will get used to it.
I hope.

Ohhhh a hot issue for me, too.
I can't sleep at my mother's house for the same reason. Except she compounded it by putting several clocks out. They all bong and ding and tick and click 24/7. Drives me fucking INSANE.

The loudest one is the cuckoo clock in the living room. It came from Germany, my brother was stationed there for a time and he brought it home for her. The start of an evil and malevolent collection, designed by Satan himself to make me crazy.

It's one of the reasons I don't sleep in the house when I visit.
:)

Good luck.

My grandparent had one too. My Aunt has it now. It "died" and they never tried to fix it. I admit that seeing it made me smile and think way back back for a minute! Hope you get used to it soon!!

Happy Belated Birthday!! I forgot to put that on the last comment on the last post! (0:
